Plumber

About the role

The Plumber will carry out plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance works for industrial, commercial and domestic premises. The role requires a high standard of workmanship and a customer‑focused approach within Guernsey Electricity's competitive marketplace.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test and repair plumbing systems in various premises.
• Install, maintain and repair heating and cooling systems.
• Test new and existing installations and produce certification.
• Plan and execute works efficiently while promoting company services.
• Ensure workmanship meets statutory requirements and record accurate job notes.

Required profile

• Completed a formal apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Qualified to a minimum of C&G Level 3 in Plumbing Studies or equivalent.
• Sound working knowledge of current Building Regulations related to plumbing.
• Hold a current Category “B” driving licence.

Required skills

• BPEC qualified for un‑vented cylinders.
• Ability to test installations and produce certifications.
