Meter Fitter Team Lead

About the role

Guernsey Electricity is looking for a Meter Fitter Team Lead to lead and support its Domestic Meter Rollout team in delivering meter replacements safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. The role provides day-to-day technical guidance, promotes safe working practices, ensures compliance with Company procedures and supports the rollout programme, while liaising professionally with customers and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the Domestic Meter Rollout team in the safe and efficient delivery of meter replacements.
• Provide day-to-day technical guidance and ensure work follows Company procedures and safety requirements.
• Monitor the quality of work and address any issues or concerns.
• Support the planning and delivery of daily rollout activities to meet programme targets.
• Identify, investigate and escalate unsafe, damaged or unusual installations.
• Ensure accurate completion of job records, customer information and programme documentation.
• Maintain effective communication with customers, colleagues and other departments.
• Support the training, development and competency assessment of Meter Fitters.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, customer service and professional conduct across the team.
• Undertake other duties reasonably required to support the programme.

Required profile

• Minimum of City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate or Diploma in Domestic and Commercial Electrical Installation (or recognised equivalent).
• Ability to achieve competency sign-off for domestic meter installation activities.
• Demonstrates ambition to become a fully qualified electrician, with training and support provided by Guernsey Electricity.
• Full Category B driving licence.
