Assistant General Manager – Indian Restaurant

About the role

The Indian Cottage is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the day‑to‑day operations of its Indian restaurant in Guernsey. This full‑time position will work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth service, high guest satisfaction, and efficient staff coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Organise staff rotas and plan daily shifts.
• Deliver excellent customer service and manage guest relations.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus.
• Manage suppliers, procurement and inventory control.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Handle cash, equipment and company property responsibly.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience in a similar role within an Indian restaurant.
• Strong leadership and business acumen.
• Calm under pressure with a professional attitude.
• Excellent organisational abilities.
