Data Engineer & BI Analyst

About the role

The Data Engineer & BI Analyst will enable the business to maximise the value of its data assets. Working within the BI and Data Analytics function, the role will evolve as the company’s data strategy matures.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business BI requirements and translate them into data architecture designs.
• Design, build and optimise medallion‑architecture data pipelines from ingestion through cleansing and transformation.
• Develop curated datasets and semantic models that support scalable reporting.
• Implement data access controls to protect sensitive information while enabling broad data availability.
• Support the creation of new reports and dashboards, including requirement analysis and specification writing.
• Continuously improve BI processes and documentation, and contribute to data governance initiatives.
• Manage the full lifecycle of data, BI and reporting development activities, including coordination with suppliers and contractors.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Adaptability to evolving responsibilities as the data function grows.
• Experience managing internal and external resources in data‑focused projects.
