- Act as technical product owner: set priorities, turn business objectives into requirements, user stories and deliverables, and manage and prioritise backlogs.
- Run workshops with clients and stakeholders to define functional and non-functional requirements.
- Direct onshore and offshore development teams, coordinate their work and hold them accountable for quality outcomes.
- Bridge business and technical teams, explain technical considerations to non-technical audiences and challenge designs to ensure they are maintainable, secure and scalable.
- Report progress, risks, issues, financial performance and required decisions to senior stakeholders, and resolve delivery issues proactively.
- Build relationships internally and with senior client stakeholders, coach junior team members and contribute to the practice's development.
Required profile
- Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Project management certification (e.g. AgilePM, PRINCE2, Scrum Master) and business analysis certification (e.g. CBAP, CSPO, PMI-PBA).
- Significant experience managing end-to-end technology projects, digital products or software-enabled transformation in a professional services or consulting environment.
- Experience leading and coordinating software development teams, including onshore and offshore resources.
- Product owner or technical product owner experience, including backlog management.
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and of how AI tools can be used responsibly in project delivery.
Required skills
- Deep project management experience with strong organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Business analysis: requirements definition, stakeholder workshops, process analysis, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Sufficient technical understanding to engage with developers and solution architects on design, dependencies and technical risk.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, presentation and report-writing skills.
- Team-working and people-management skills, including delegation and coaching.
- Ability to work autonomously and follow formal methodologies with risk, quality, security and governance standards.
Desirable: knowledge of the Financial Services sector and the Channel Islands market, Microsoft technologies (Azure, ADO, Power Platform, Power BI), cloud platforms, APIs, databases, DevOps, and project tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira or Confluence. Limited travel is expected.
