Relationship Manager

About the role

The Relationship Manager is the primary point of contact for high‑net‑worth clients, acting as an ambassador for Julius Baer and driving new business in the Guernsey market.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively acquire and develop relationships with HNWIs and UHNWIs, focusing on the Guernsey market.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase revenue and grow the client portfolio.
• Build and maintain a strong network of referrals and introductions with existing clients and stakeholders.
• Create and deliver targeted pitches highlighting the bank’s unique value proposition.
• Collaborate with internal investment, advisory, and product teams to develop tailored solutions.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments.
• Introduce the bank’s products and services, providing cross‑selling and tailored investment solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in private banking or wealth management.
• Strong interpersonal skills, results‑driven and able to work autonomously.
• Professional qualification such as Investment Advice Diploma (Level 4) or equivalent.
• Proven track record in acquiring new client relationships and business development.
• Good knowledge of the Guernsey market, legal and regulatory environment.
• Ability to match client needs with appropriate product solutions and exercise sound commercial judgement.
