FTTP Installation Technician – Fixed‑Term (Guernsey)

About the role

Join the fibre broadband revolution in Guernsey as an FTTP Installation Technician on a fixed‑term contract until 31 December 2026. The role involves hands‑on outdoor work installing, testing and commissioning high‑speed fibre services for homes and businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test and commission residential and business FTTP services.
• Fit associated wiring systems, Wi‑Fi routers and terminals.
• Perform fibre‑optic installation and support duties at customer premises in all weather conditions.
• Work at heights, including climbing poles and using ladders safely.
• Follow health, safety and operational procedures and maintain accurate service records.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to follow established working practices and procedures.
• Comfortable working at heights and in adverse weather.
• Full, valid driving licence.
• Physical fitness for outdoor, manual work.

Required skills

• Fibre optic installation.
• Fibre broadband testing and commissioning.
• Installation of wiring systems and Wi‑Fi routers.
• Use of ladders and pole‑climbing techniques.
