Locum Consultant Anaesthetist – 4‑Month Fixed‑Term in Guernsey

About the role

We are looking to appoint a Locum Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team and provide high‑quality, consultant‑only secondary care to the Bailiwick of Guernsey (≈65,000 residents). The post holder will become one of 14 (12 FTE) consultants delivering a fully consultant‑delivered service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive anaesthetic and peri‑operative care across a flexible range of sessions.
• Collaborate closely with surgical colleagues to ensure safe, high‑quality peri‑operative pathways.

Required profile

• Full GMC registration and inclusion on the UK GMC Specialist Register for Anaesthesia (or within six months of interview).
• Broad experience in anaesthetic practice and intensive care, with ability to cover subspecialty interests.
• Excellent clinical standards, strong communication skills and commitment to long‑term partnership values.
