Manager, Trust & Corporate (Temporary)

About the role

Oak, part of the Opera group, offers private client, corporate and fund administration services across Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man, Mauritius and The Bahamas. This temporary Manager, Trust & Corporate role sits within the Trust & Corporate Department and is central to business success: establishing and developing client relationships and building the reputation of Oak as a client-focused business.

Key responsibilities

• Client service and relationships: maintain high service levels, monitor client communications and requests, respond to clients within 24 hours, provide technical support, attend client meetings and act as a "B" signatory
• Manage client-related issues and the UK meetings for the team's portfolio, including annual client visits
• Work with the Board on the strategic direction of the administration function
• Regulatory and risk: liaise with the Risk Team on compliance requirements, assist with Guidance Notes
• Complete annual periodic reviews and their tasks
• Handle financial reporting requests, including signing financial statements and clearing accounting queries
• Record time accurately, contribute to management meetings, support the Board and complete other duties as required

Required profile

• Holds or is working towards a relevant professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, STEP, CGI)
• Minimum 5 years post-qualifying experience in the fiduciary sector, or at least 10 years of industry experience
• Detailed understanding of fiduciary services and the regulatory framework
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving and leadership skills

Required skills

• Practical experience of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
