Senior Fund Accountant

About the role

We are Guernsey’s venture capital specialists and our Fund Accounts team works closely with clients to deliver best‑in‑class service in a fast‑paced venture capital environment. The Senior Fund Accountant will act as a key point of contact for a portfolio of active venture capital funds, ensuring accurate and timely client deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for clients, auditors and third parties, managing deadlines and communications.
• Maintain accurate financial records on Investran and Acumen, including bank reconciliations, bookkeeping, and call/distribution calculations.
• Prepare investment schedules, management accounts, regulator reports and annual audited accounts in accordance with IFRS/FRS102.
• Handle investor queries, review junior team work and ensure regulatory and statutory filings are completed.

Required profile

• A self‑starter able to work independently and accurately under pressure.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills to develop strong relationships.
• Strong computer literacy and problem‑solving abilities.
• Practical experience or demonstrable knowledge of the financial services industry.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Investran.
• Proficiency with Acumen.
• Knowledge of IFRS and FRS102 reporting standards.
