University Graduate – Credit Risk Management (Guernsey)

About the role

Julius Baer is recruiting a university graduate for its 18-month Graduate Programme starting in April 2027, within the CRO Division's Guernsey Credit team. The team supports Relationship Management teams in providing client-oriented, risk-adverse solutions for private banking clients, offering secured credit products such as lending against marketable securities and mortgages. The graduate will support the management of the Guernsey branch's credit portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Become familiar with the bank's internal risk framework and external regulatory requirements
• Help monitor credit exposures daily, including handling excess positions
• Advise Relationship Managers on credit-related enquiries and issues
• Prepare credit proposals, including research of the applicant's background and analysis of financial statements
• Oversee the preparation and perfection of loan and security documents
• Assist with periodic reporting and ongoing project initiatives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business & Finance, Accountancy, Economics or Law, obtained within the last 3 years
• Analytical mindset and keen eye for detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence communicating with people at all levels
• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn and to undertake professional study later
• Interest in financial and real estate markets

Required skills

• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel and Word
